DIASPORA CUP
Diaspora Cup is the first football championshipof the Ukrainian community in Germancountry, with the aim of promoting sport among the diaspora. promote various Ukrainian communities and to establish a new network.
The Diaspora Cup was organised for the first time in September 2017 at Soccer Olymp Fellbach in Stuttgart. The idea was very well received and so the tournament was repeated a year later. In 2018, the cup was already played between 7 teams in the Soccer Arena Sindelfingen. The Diaspora Cup was organised for the third time in 2019. This time - with an expanded group of participants (participants from Lithuania, Austria, the Netherlands and Poland), sponsors and support from the Stuttgart Sports Office.
The fifth Diaspora Cup took place in Stuttgart in 2021.
13 teams took part. Very pleasing was also that the geography was expanded and teams from both the immediate vicinity(e.g. Heilbronn), as well as further afield (e.g. Helsinki).
